Yes, except for the fact that if you use another spell before the first one is done refreshing, you will not regen the mana from the first spell.įor a game that’s supposed to be about chaining spells together for crazy and cool combos, the system as it stands is not terribly conducive to that. When you use a skill, it drains mana, and if you wait, it will refresh up to the old level after a few seconds. Mana Management Is Trickier Than Most Gamesįor those new to the Dishonored franchise, it’s going to take some adjustment to get used to how mana works in this game. If you’re planning to play twice, I guess it doesn’t matter, but I think the majority of players will only make it through the game once, if at all, so this is definitely the most important decision of the game.Ģ. With that said, having completed a playthrough with her, I honestly think that Corvo’s original move set is a lot more fun than hers, so there are tradeoffs with either choice. ![]() Emily has an entire different set of powers at her disposal so playing as her will be more of a fresh-feeling experience for veteran players. So, who should you pick? Well, Corvo retains almost his entire moveset from the original Dishonored, so if you liked him then and don’t want to lose access to his trademark powers, go with him. ![]() I’ve already discussed at length about how much I disagree with this design decision, but I won’t get into that again. The choice you make at the very beginning of the game is a permanent one, and Dishonored 2 is essentially designed around two playthroughs, the same levels with each of the two leads. I know some players will have figured this one out going in, but when the marketing says things like “Play as Corvo or Emily!” you might interpret that as being able to switch between them as the game goes on.
